Riders in the Wastes
There’s a rumor that an artillery shell burst through one of the old hotel buildings west of the strip. Prospectors were spurred into action and found a scrap of paper inside a hollowed out cavity. It was hastily written, and some parts are unintelligible, but this is what has been translated.
Super Mutants… Giant wolves… warn the dam!
There seems to be a great deal of talk about this find, but the biggest question on everybody’s lips is how did the shell overshoot the dam by that much and what could have shot it so far.
Although there has been some speculation that perhaps the shell was shot the wrong direction - the shell landed into the building from the east - the shell was as almost as large as a man.

What is the biggest monster you know of in the West?
Biggest monster, eh? Well I’d have to say that in terms of size, ferocity and outright scare-factor that would go to the Deathclaw. Sure, there are some radscorpions that get pretty big and Super Mutants are dangerous, but they’re radroaches compared to those overly mutated geckos.
